  I went to Hooters last night and had one of the worst experiences I've had at a Hooters. Apparently, they were understaffed (on Fat Tuesday!). Service was slow, but our waitress and the manager were very nice and extremely apologetic. But, my main issue was with the quality of the food. I've been going to Hooters for decades and over the past several years, they would serve crawfish. I'm a huge fan of their crawfish . . . until yesterday. Apparently, they have changed their recipe. Now, they simply boil the crawfish in plain water and then dust it with Old Bay Seafood seasoning. They were terrible. I ordered 2 pounds and forced my way through 1.5 pounds of it before I just had to stop. I explained the situation to the waitress who told me how they made it. Again, to their credit, they offered to remove it from my bill, but as I had already eaten most of it, I asked them to please charge me for it. This review is more of a warning to anybody like me who used to love the crawfish at Hooters. They have changed it drastically and now it's quite terrible. But, I will compliment the waitstaff and manager for all they did with a very short staff.

  The wait time for to go orders is ridiculously long. They often don't receive the online order until 7-10 minutes after I arrive, and a burger takes 20 minutes to prepare and hot wings take over 30. The wait staff is polite, but that does not overcome the long wait.

  I love the fact that on the outdoor patio they welcomed us with our dogs. Very friendly waitstaff who went out if their way to make us and the pets have a relaxed enjoyable visit.
