  I saw Jessica's work in a FB cake group several months back and it appeared to be very detailed. I decided to order my In laws 50th anniversary party cake through her because of the cakes I saw on her fb site. We went over details and confirmed delivery address/date, I paid. Wednesday before the party I reconfirmed the time with her and she agreed that it would work. Day of the party , we had the food and the cake scheduled to be delivered at the same time, at noon. The food is delivered on time, the cake was 50 minutes late. I emailed Jessica about her whereabouts around 20-30 min late, she replied that she was 10 min out. Then finally around 12:50 she showed up and brought the cake in, immediately i notice the top tier ( 3 tier cake order) was lopsided, the frosting was spotty and in areas you could see the cake. She provided us cutting instructions but no word about why the cake looked damaged. I apologized to my in laws for what appears to be a very sloppy wedding cake. I tried to let go of how it looked but the pictures show each sloppy detail, we put a cake topper on to hide the lopsided top tier. Needless to say, I emailed Jessica via fb and got a reply about taking full responsibility for the damaged cake. She said she got the time wrong and the heat had the icing melting and flowers sliding down and she tried to fix it and that's when the top tier was damaged and she did her best to fix the cake. She also says she takes full responsibility for the damaged cake, but offers a partial credit. Truth be told, I don't want a credit toward a damaged cake and not because it was damaged but because she wasn't honest and brought it in that way without apology for being late or how it looked. She didn't offer to make it right when she knew she had messed it up and only offered to make it right once I called her on how bad it was,. Why would I want to go back for another expensive cake? Finally after pushing she offers to refund me only for the top tier.. .4 servings to be exact. It's laughable... why not 1 serving? Why not 1.5? She also states she has a no refund policy unless the cake is inedible and returned to her for inspection. She herself did inspect the cake, hell she brought it herself, she acknowledges it was messed up, yet she will only refund 4 servings? I would've been a repeat customer if she had been honest and offered to make it right from the get go, now I will never be a customer of hers again. BTW, her version of fair after I turned down partial cake credit was $24. Extremely laughable.

  Jessica is amazing! My family has been going to her for years. She did my wedding cake (attached pic), my daughter's 1st Birthday smake cake (attached pic), various cupcakes, my mother's 60th birthday cake, and hopefully many, many, more celebrations for us. She is responsive, talented, affordable, and super easy to work with. She has accomodated our last minute orders and has ALWAYS delivered perfectly and on-time. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a local baker to help with your special moments!
